I am so excited that our Winter Wedding Shoot was recently featured on Beauty & Lifestyle Bride, and wanted to share a little bit more of our images and inspiration for this shoot!
I first thought of this idea when recalling my Aunt and Uncle’s love story that started by watching their favorite movie of “It’s A Wonderful Life” together. I thought, “How romantic would that be for couples who love this move to have it as a theme for their winter wedding?” Every year around Christmas time and New Years, this movie warms the hearts of all of us. It is about love, faith, hope and family, and I cannot help but think the storyline in the movie would beautifully compliment a Winter Wedding theme. This Wedding Inspiration was purposed for Brides who love the idea of a winter wedding, but are wanting to do more of a winter theme with subtle hints of the holidays. We wanted to have a good mix of old and new, and classic and elegant. Our beautiful bride Bonnie wore a gorgeous Maggie Sotterro gown with vintage-inspired details while showing off a gorgeous hair piece and jewelry provided by the fabulous ladies at Bateau Bridal Boutique. To tie in the movie’s inspiration we chose to have quotes from the movie as special decorative elements and also as our inspiration for the Wedding Favors. The roses, hydrangeas, campanulas, oriental lilies, ivy, and dusty miller florals were beautifully arranged and set in the antique silver bouquet holder as a unique side-cascading Bridal Bouquet and boutonnière designed by Sasha with Oopsie Daisy LLC in Eagle River. It was a beautiful winter day and I am so excited to have had the opportunity to share this inspiration with brides. Thank you to other vendors who contributed including Elena Barbee from Nordstrom’s Mac makeup, Special Events Alaska, Midnight Sun Cakery, Alaskan Elegance, The Chocolate Lily Wedding Stationary, and Hair by Jen for making this possible!
