I am not going to lie. One of the difficult things about living in Alaska was living without Hobby Lobby. And one of the most confusing things about moving to different places as often as we do is that I never remember which places have which stores. When I visited Pensacola (my hometown) this past September, I literally got teared up for a second as my Mom and I got all excited to peruse Hobby Lobby together once again – I guess it made me cherish times with Momma doing things we both enjoy. IT HAD BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE WE LAST HAD A MOTHER DAUGHTER DAY PEOPLE. 🙂 Anyways, I must confess that while Bryan had lovingly agreed I could buy a beautiful blue dress for $60, in a weak moment I inevitably forfeited that option and exchanged it for $30 of beautiful Hobby Lobby Thanksgiving decor I fell in love with. (-_-) Bryan smiled and rolled his eyes when I arrived at the Richmond airport with what he would call “knick-knacks” wrapped carefully into my carry on, but I was thrilled to have stumbled upon something fitting to my personality to set the table for Thanksgiving…even if I did learn later that Virginia does in fact have a Hobby Lobby. This will be my first time ever hosting Bryan’s parents and Granny at our home for Thanksgiving, and everything just ended up fitting together just right, including the mix and match china I wanted to use from Bryan’s great great Aunt Georgie. So I have literally had our table set since September (-_-). And it is finally here!! It’s time to sit at our table again…as it has been occupied with “Thanksgiving” for a while! 😉 Tell me I am not the only one.
I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful time celebrating as there is always something to be thankful for, and from all of our little family, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
