Love and Lattes

Fellow Alaskans, was the weather crazy yesterday or what!? I guess not, if you know Alaska by now. ๐Ÿ˜› While pleasantly surprised at the 40+ temperatures, the wind and slushy ice promised an interesting time for yesterday’s shoot. We met Bethany & Zachary at SteamDot Coffee to begin our engagement session. It was my first time to this coffee shop, and I have to say first of all I LOVED this little shop! Bursting with personality, it was a truly perfect location for these two lovebirds!

Bethany and Zachary are planning their wedding for this upcoming July, and were a little concerned about working in their engagement photos in the one of the coldest and darkest months of the year; yet this week was our only window of time with Zachary being in town only for the holidays before heading back to school in the lower 48. Nevertheless, we were able to have a wonderful time at two very special places to Bethany and Zachary. Both BIG TIME coffee lovers, Bethany was excited to have SteamDot serve her a vanilla latte with beautiful coffee art! {side note** I cannot wait to go back and try some myself! YUM :)} From there we went to take some outdoor portraits at Cuddy Family Park in Midtown, where Zach proposed to Bethany (Aweee!).

We were still really chilly due to the wind factor, but we had a lot of laughs. It was such a blessing to finally meet Zachary. Having already met with Bethany, it did my heart good to see a true gentleman love and cherish this new friend of mine. We finished up with some beautiful outdoor lights Downtown at Captain Cook, just to grab a little bit of the Christmassy / wintery Nighttime feel. Here are a few sneak peeks! Let me know what you think! COMMENTS WELCOME! Counting Down the Days til the I do’s! ๐Ÿ™‚
