I have heard about this feeling you can get – when walking away from a person you love…where you feel sick when knowing you may have just walked away from the best thing that ever happened to you. I can’t help but feel like that as we head out of Alaska. Looking through all of the memories we have made here, it feels like each moment is slipping through my fingers. We have been so blessed to witness the most beautiful sunsets, sunrises, snowfalls and seasons bursting with magnificence in nature. My heart tries to really soak in the adventures we have had, the friends who broke down our walls and won places in our hearts, and the beautiful wild Alaska we were able to see – even if just for a little while. I know that, while the hardest part is leaving, we are blessed to have had this time here and to have gotten to know our friends here.
Our last days before beginning our road trip were filled with a giant list of to-dos around our house and in preparation for our cross country road trip…but is was made bearable by energy-restoring visits with some great friends!
I am so thankful for Bryan, who – from the day we married – has pushed me [FAR] out of my comfort zone, onto a path I know God has planned for us which is filled with adventures I would have never dared to go on…never dreamed of loving…and precious memories that make my life rich and complete! We may be out of range (no WiFi) for a few days… but I hope to be updating soon on our wild and crazy journey!
