I am excited to share highlights from this Anchorage Coffee Inspired Wedding at MCA Church!! You might remember Bethany and Zachary from their fun Coffee Inspired SteamDot Coffee Shop Engagement Session this past December. These two have been anxiously waiting for their wedding day so Zachary could be home from school in the lower 48 and they could say “I love you” face to face rather than on Skype. Since then so many wonderful things have happened for them. Zachary graduated, and was hired as a Youth Pastor at a church in Anchorage, which was a huge blessing and just what he was looking for.
Zach and his groomsmen went back to SteamDot where we photographed he and Bethany’s Engagement Session to grab a celebratory cup of joe. Bethany, Zachary, and the Wedding Party got ready at their church. The guys had fun making Zach look stylish and sporting their new Pocket Watches – a special gift for the Groom and his Groomsmen. Bethany and her Bridesmaids helped each other style their hair and put on makeup. I could tell Bethany was concerned that her plans to have Portraits done at Earthquake Park following their First Look may be affected by the rain clouds in the sky. We decided to take things a moment at a time, and Bryan brought Zachary to the altar of their church sanctuary to see his dolled up Bride for the first time. The spotlights on them with the room dim and the peace and intimacy in such a special place was just breath taking. They met at the foot of the Cross on the platform, which was so symbolic of the foundation for their marriage – focused on Christ and surrounded by their church family.
After their moment together, the rain magnificently paused long enough to head to the park to photograph the Wedding Party and Bethany and Zachary together. At the Beginning of their Ceremony, a slideshow played with special messages and photos of Bethany and Zachary from their childhood all the way to their Engagement. So cute!!! It was a beautiful ceremony, concluded by their First Communion as husband and wife and their long awaited “You may kiss the Bride!” moment!
After the Ceremony, Bethany and Zachary celebrated with all their family and friends at a Coffee Inspired Dessert Reception with a chocolate fountain, a blazing s’more making table, oodles and oodles of sweets, and a serious gourmet coffee station of course! They also had a Photo booth which made it fun to leave tons of funny memories for the Bride and Groom and have a photo to take home. Each centerpiece was a candle nestled in coffee beans, and at each place setting was a page with interactive message boxes and puzzles about the Bride and Groom for guests to leave for Bethany and Zachary’s Wedding Day Scrapbook. Bethany and Zachary’s Wedding Favors were her Mom’s Famous Snickerdoodle cookies – which looked amazing! It was so neat to see Bethany and Zachary enjoy the day and every minute of their Wedding Celebration.
Congratulations Bethany and Zach! We know you are living it up in Hawaii!! Enjoy the Wedding Day Highlights below and we are so excited to see all the joys life brings you both!
