B. Weiss Photography : Upcoming Adventures Abroad

We knew our time in Virginia would be very brief…it is a wonderful season to be here at Fort Lee – a place where the city, shopping, history, mountains, countryside and ocean front are all within a days drive…not to mention our much closer proximity to family! But where will the Army be taking us next? Well, it’s official…at least as official as the Army gets. πŸ˜‰

This coming February of 2015 we will be relocating to Germany. Our orders have changed since our original orders from Kaiserslautern to Vilseck, so I will say things are set in stone once our feet are in cozy in slippers in our rented housing wherever they end up sending us. πŸ˜‰ Nevertheless, we are extremely excited to have an opportunity to live abroad in Europe, just a days drive to my brother, sister-in-law and my adorable little nephew! I feel like I will have a lot to learn and many things drawing my eye to my camera, and I hope to spend time there learning from and embracing the various cultures, photographing unique items and locations and learning some German. I also hope to blog a beginner’s guide on my method of shooting in Manual mode to help YOU get better images from your DSLR! But why wait til February? Be on the lookout soon! If you think this may be a fun idea I would love to hear your questions about photography. Shoot me an email (bweissphoto@gmail.com) and let me know what I could potentially post to help you! πŸ™‚

Catie Cook, a close friend of Amandalee’s way back when, and still close with Bonnie Jo, lives in Kaiserslautern. She’s been there for over three years now and travels constantly! I am soooo jealous. She’s on FB as Catie Cook Burlison and would be more than happy to guide you about housing, travel, places to go for things you need, and life over there. She went over knowing no one and nothing, I would think having a friend, or mentor, would be useful.
