Well things have been a bit crazy, but I couldn’t help myself but post about this Army Engagement Session with Moira and Scott on this gorgeous Friday while I am finishing up their personal Engagement Site and Gallery!
Meet Moira and Scott – seriously how cute are they together?! Moira contacted me a little while ago and I just love their story. Both being active duty Army, this couple has doubly faced the challenges of being a military couple through deployments, PCS moves and serving their country while dating and growing their love all at the same time. Moira was so surprised when Scott, who was recently stationed here at JBER, flew her up to Alaska and surprised her with a proposal hiding her [GORGEOUS] ring on a Stuffed Husky dog. On top of that, Moira had the 2nd wonderful surprise of being able to fly up for another visit this past Memorial Weekend to see Alaska in its warm sunny bloom and also the opportunity to have an Engagement Session – something she thought they would not have a chance to do being thousands of miles apart. What a special treat for them to be together, and a special treat for us as well as we had so much fun getting lost on back roads out on the Fort Richardson side of base and playing in the stream, on the bridge, in the woods and on the dusty trails (you can see just how dusty in the “I love Moira” car message photo!) Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson is so pretty, and I am learning most pretty spots are the ones you have to be adventurous and take a back road to find. I think JBER was a perfect spot for Moira and Scott since this Winter it will be their new Base home as a newlywed couple. 🙂
It always blesses my heart to see a couple so in love and affectionate while we photograph them. Almost as if we were just peeking into their beautiful last day together, Moira and Scott were so fun and I am so thankful we had an opportunity to meet them.
