“But what if it’s like last year and there is no snow in December?” Katie had jokingly said at their Eagle River Nature Center Engagement Session. With a winter wedding to look forward to – Katie and Dan had high hopes to be married in Alaska’s Winter Wonderland. But oddly, we had not had much snow, until the night before and day of Katie’s Wedding. As I woke up and looked outside the morning of the big day, a huge smile grew on my face as the snowflakes fluttered down peacefully.
I LOVED that Katie wore her Great Grandmother’s Necklace! The back of it sparkled throughout the Ceremony. Her G.G. would have been so honored to let Katie wear it down the aisle!
These bridesmaids are quite possibly my favorite group ever! They had so much fun and really made Katie laugh! I gave her Made of honor Hannah the Best MOH 2013 award for being so helpful to Katie and knowing what to do to help her without even having to be asked. Even more than that though – this group of girls brought out each girl’s smiles and giggles and I loved photographing them playing in the snow and sporting their dresses with pockets before the ceremony!
Katie loves music, and carefully chose each song for the ceremony. I loved that throughout the ceremony some of the beautiful hymns were sung. I couldn’t help but smile and feel so delighted that God was being worshiped there and was the focus of their marriage.
